No Fourth Wall Performance: Berlin 2013
No Fourth Wall is a performance concept in which there is no (4th) wall separating the actors from the audience and at time no clear delineation of the 'stage'. The evening was composed of performances occurring on the street, on a stage, at tables in the adjacent cafe, and in stairwells in the ACUD Arts House. There were also concurrent showings of films in different locations, including in stairwells. A Philosopher's Table provided an opportunity for people to engage in philosophical discussions. It was said that no 'audience' member would have the same experience at they might move about the various settings and concurrent performances over the course of the evening.
